LR Baggs' official Venue DI user guide documents a practical order for troubleshooting its own unit: set gain against the loudest playing level, try the phase control in the actual setup, and sweep the notch control to find a ringing frequency. The exact knob range belongs to that product. The reusable stage method is gain first, then position and phase, then targeted filtering.

Ground lift also has a narrow job. It can break a ground-loop path on a transformer-isolated DI, but it is not a substitute for safe power, intact cables, or proper venue wiring.
